After building a solid technical foundation, the next step is to begin developing your own artistic identity.

In this second level, you will deepen your understanding of musical interpretation, explore the differences between the main styles of Oriental Dance—including Egyptian, Oriental, and Stylized styles—study its most important folkloric traditions, and expand your stagecraft so that every movement carries intention and meaning.

At this stage, the goal is no longer simply to execute technique correctly. You will learn to understand the music, interpret its emotions, recognize the nuances of each style, and begin shaping a way of dancing that is authentically your own.

Throughout this journey, you will learn to connect technical mastery with artistic sensitivity, developing a more mature, expressive, and conscious approach to dance.

Advanced Musical Interpretation

Deepen your understanding of musical structure, rhythms, maqamat, musical phrasing, instrumentation, and the emotional intention behind each composition to develop a richer, more precise, and more nuanced interpretation.

Styles, Folklore and Artistic Identity

Explore the characteristics, history, and stage language of the principal styles of Oriental Dance and its most important folkloric traditions. Learn what makes each one unique and how to interpret them with authenticity and cultural awareness.

Stagecraft and Creative Development

Expand your movement vocabulary through the advanced use of props, improvisation, theatricality, choreographic composition, transitions, and interpretative tools that will help you create performances with greater artistic depth and impact.

International performing artist, creator and educator with over 30 years of experience in Oriental Dance, musical theatre and artistic direction.

Artistic and Content Director of Orientalisimo Academy, Artistic Director of the Alina Babayan Dance School (Barcelona, 2026), and Artistic Director of Orientalísimo Weekend, International Dance Festival.

He has developed an extensive international career as a performer, choreographer, master teacher and judge at major dance festivals worldwide, working in more than 30 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
